I'd like to provide an overview of the real estate legal system in Japan.
In jurisprudence, laws are traditionally classified into public law and private law.
A clear example of public law is criminal law, and that of private law is civil law.
I will explain real estate laws using this classification method, listing the most important ones.
Although there is no such law as real estate law, there are many laws related to real estate.
They are sometimes collectively called real estate law.
Zoning is to think about urban development in terms of areas.
It sets many standards, such as fire prevention performance and connection to roads.
This law is about agricultural land.
This law provides for the registration procedures.
This law was made for this purpose.
However, nowadays, large condominiums are being built and many people are living in the same building.
It is a law concerning condominiums.
